Life is Weird - Family is Weirder

I think of myself as relatively conservative though I guess when I try to look at myself objectively I seem myself as more moderate - a little more right-leaning economically (but maybe not quite as much as I think), a little more left-leaning socially. So I often find myself wondering how is it I ended up being the "raving liberal" in the family? I expect that feeling after listening to my grandfather and even my aunts and uncles - different generations, different life circumstances. But when I come from an afternoon with my sisters and end up feeling the same way, I have to wonder where their heads are at! (And since I abhor political arguments like nature abhors a vacuum, I generally keep my mouth shut, so I don't think they're wondering where my head is at - but they may be!)
