I get a snow day!

Got a call from our office manager about an hour ago - the partners have already decided to keep the office closed tomorrow. I love snow days! There are a few things I don't like about where I work - no job is perfect - but I do like that the people in charge aren't the type to say "Yes, we know it'll be at least 10 degrees below zero - Fahrenheit - tomorrow morning and there'll be a least a foot of snow with drifting and poor driving conditions and we know so many of you live at least 20 miles or more from town - but come to work anyway." Nice working for reasonable people.

And here's a big thank-you to those whose jobs don't allow them the luxury of taking a snow day - our health care workers, firefighters, police, snow plow drivers. All those people who'll be fighting to get to their jobs in the morning or are sleeping at their workplaces tonight or working double shifts to cover those who just can't get there. Thank you - you're all better people than I am!
