The only digital cameras I've had over the past few years have been cheap little plastic things that take basic, adequate pictures and don't really last long. I've decided it's time to buy a "real" camera. I don't need anything fancy, just good picture quality and something that'll last more than a year. Zoom would be great, as would video - but video's not a necessity. Easy uploading. I'd prefer one that uses a standard memory card rather than a mini and one I can leave the battery in without draining it. (One of the cheapies I have has that problem - it'll drain the batteries in a matter of days, even with no use at all.) If it's under $100, even better. I know lots of my flist use cameras regularly - do any of you have recommendations? Thanks!

(I intended to take a picture a day in 2011 and post them here. I do have about 2 1/2 weeks' worth to post - and will, once I remember which online photo management site I use. Yes, it's been while.... I'm currently without a camera so I guess I won't be doing a picture a day. Though perhaps I'll take extra pictures for awhile when I get one to make up the numbers.)
