"We was all on the cover of Newsweek...."

I was tooling around looking for fanfic and found a great little story that explains what happened to Julio and his buddy down in the schoolyard and how they ended up on the cover of Newsweek. Juan Valdez, the Radical Priest and Me by vanillafluffy is well-written, tells you what Paul Simon didn't (who are the Mama, the Papa, and the radical priest? who's Rosie, anyway?), and it's funny while addressing a serious issue.

(PS - I wasn't looking for songfic when I found it; it's funny what pops up in search results sometimes.)
