I haven't been able to access LiveJournal through my work laptop since the last time I posted. I could access through my phone but I hate doing a lot of typing on it. I'm back on today and while I still have to finish up that September meme, I'd like to do this one right now:

Post the top 10 from the week you graduated from high school/left secondary School.

Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes (hated it)
Being With You - Smokey Robinson (don't remember it)
Medley - Stars on 45 (don't remember it)
Sukiyaki - A Taste of Honey (liked it a lot and still do but like the Japanese original more)
Take It On the Run - REO Speedwagon (ok)
Living Inside Myself - Gino Vanelli (don't remember it)
A Woman Needs Love (Just Like You Do) - Ray Parker Jr. & Raydio (don't remember it)
Just the Two of Us -Grover Washington, Jr. w/Bill Withers (not bad)
America - Neil Diamond (ok)
Sweetheart - Franke & the Knockouts (don't remember it)

Wow, 1981 had some really sucky music. Granted, part of the reason I don't remember it as well as I might is that my favorite groups were Simon & Garfunkel and Peter, Paul & Mary (and still are) but I did listen to the top 40 station that everyone else did. I remember more songs from the late 1970s than the first couple of years of the 80s and 1980 itself was better than this. They just weren't good years. Things picked up music-wise in 1982-83 and I like a lot of 80s music - but I think Take It On the Run is the only one in this list that the oldies station plays now.
