I signed up for Mini NanoWriMo again this year and again committed to 100 words a day. I should've committed to more, since I've managed to double that every day but one. (The first day I forgot it was actually the first day till the last minute, so only managed 100 words.
This is what I wrote for November 11 - mushy, I suppose, and I get the feeling it's derivative, but it was a nice exercise:

And a belated, but very heartfelt, thank you to Irish, Uncle Jack, Uncle Ed, Uncle Bill, Uncle Lee, Elizabeth, Roger, Grampa E., Grampa Gene, Great Uncle Bill, Wes, Doug (who is now in Afghanistan) - all my family members who are veterans (I hope I didn't miss anyone) as well as all my friends who have served and all those I don't know. Thank you.
