It's been several weeks since I registered my livejournal - I guess now's as good a time as any to begin writing.
Actually, I decided to begin writing today because I found this while looking through a friend's friends' entries:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
From *The Elements of Style* (Strunk and White): "Omit needless words."
Perhaps I should stop writing now.
