This morning I checked my e-mail first thing before settling into work - this was before 8:30 (EST). I noticed that Pakistan was in the headlines again and saw a mention of Benazir Bhutto's name and thought "that woman is going to be assassinated". Meaning the odds are very good that she'll be assassinated someday. So 10 minutes ago I get on line during my break to check e-mail - and the headline is that she was assassinated less than two hours ago.
That is a really disturbing feeling - freaky. It's not ESP. I think either I glimpsed a headline at lunch, didn't really register it, and that's when I actually had the thought that someday she'd be assassinated (not earlier), or else when I had that thought this earlier morning, it was just - well, logic. She had lots of enemies.
Still, it's a freaky feeling. I wouldn't want to be psychic if you paid me! (And I'm sorry she's been killed. Goodness, how did I manage to make this all about me? Bah.)
