Hasn't been sending comments to my e-mail for about a week. It took me a few days to realize it and I think I was able to hunt down any comments or responses to comments, but I'm not positive.

I haven't gotten e-mail notification of responses to comments I've made since Thursday. (I just went through a checked - there have been responses - just no notifications.)

I wonder if I'd be getting notifications of comments if I'd been posting lately, which I haven't been....

I think I'll continue it, though. I didn't meet all my goals (no needlework and definitely no mending!) but I did spend far less time on the computer. Read more, whittled down my Neflix list a bit. I've enjoyed freeing up some time in the evening - and once school starts, I'll need that time. (Ironically, I'll probably be on the computer more - just not all for fun.) If our Internet access hadn't gone down the other week, I'd have accomplished my unwritten goal as well, which was to make a journal entry, however small, each day. (Isn't November "journal daily" month as well? That's not the official title but I think that's the idea.) I double-posted some days, though, so I fulfilled the spirit if not the letter! Don't know if I'll keep that up - some days I'm really stretching - but it's a fun thing to do once in awhile.

In other news - I've gotten through November without resorting to my winter coat. Yay! (I have a theory, and it seems to be true for me in practice, that the sooner you put on your winter coat, the worse you suffer as winter goes on. In other words, if you need a winter coat to keep warm when it's 45 degrees out, how on earth will it help you stay warm when it's 0?) It was getting pretty nippy when I was out earlier tonight, though, so maybe December 1 will be the day.

Finished putting all my fanfic into memories. There are a whole 14 pieces of fic that I've written on my journal! That's just under three a year since I began this - and while my fic output is small, it sure isn't that small! Plus, they're mostly drabble length and one is pretty much crackfic ("Whiskey in the Jar" slash. Yes, really.) I think I'll dig up other things I've written and put them here so they're all in one place.

I've loved "Life in a Northern Town" since the first time I heard it - saw it, really, on MTV, back in late 1985 or early '86, shortly after moving to Texas. It made me homesick (and youngest sister felt the same), even though it was about a northern town in England, not the US.

Kind of a busy Saturday tomorrow and I should probably go to bed. I wish sleep was optional!

Well, I've gone through and tagged most of my journal entries (didn't tag birthday greetings, but I might go back and do that). I'm finding that I'm getting a little obsessive about it, trying to think how to make them more accurate. Also, I'm amusing and a little appalled that I have more entries tagged under "memety-meme-meme" than anything else. I'm also not sure how to tag entries like this one - "journal," I guess. I also thought of a few entries I need to go back and do some more tag editing.

Now I need to set up memories, so any fic I have here is easily findable. There's not as much as I thought - I don't write all that much as it is, and apparently I've posted less of what I have written than I thought I did.

I've also been thinking about Nanowrimo. I'm not in school this year and can't think of any real reason not to try it, other than not having any original fic ideas at the moment - but I have two months to come up with something. Is anyone else on my flist participating?
