Three sure signs of spring in Michiana - the daffodils and tulips are blooming like crazy and there are inordinate amounts of roadkill everywhere. I love the daffodils and tulips. Roadkill - not so much.

Actually, today's pretty cold, which is annoying but not unheard of for this time of year. We've had a lot of chilly, rainy days but they've been offset with plenty of warm, sunny days as well. I've seen more daffodils this spring that I have for several years - more varieties, too. I'm seeing plenty of tulips as well, mostly red and yellow. I think we might need to drive up to Holland (about 80 miles northwest) this year to see the tulips there. It's been ages since I've been to Tulip Time. I'm beginning to see lilacs, too. This is one of my favorite times of year.

I haven't taken photos - I ought to, but I'm usually driving when I see things and operating a phone camera while driving is just not a good idea. (When I had an old point and shoot film camera, I could pick it up with one hand, aim in the direction of what I wanted a photo of, click the button, and have a good chance of getting a decent picture. Can't seem to do that with my phone!) I actually have tons of photos from the past year that I took, meaning to post here, but have never uploaded. Maybe this summer you'll finally see photos of our day at the zoo with my niece, her husband, and their daughter - from last summer!

Off to read entries. I hope this spring is treating everyone well.
